MoveIT is a corporate wellness and gamification application provided for voluntary internal use within Quadient. This notice describes how MoveIT handles your data. Participation is entirely voluntary.
1. Data We Collect
- Profile Information: Your email address, name (optional - you can use a nickname), and avatar. This is used solely for authentication and creating your profile within the internal leaderboards. You have the option to enable a "Hidden Profile", which allows you to participate anonymously (e.g. as "Mystery Ninja").
- Health & Fitness Data: With your explicit permission, the app reads your active exercise time (Exercise Minutes) and specific Workout Types (e.g. running, swimming) from Apple Health (HealthKit) on iOS or Health Connect on Android. We DO NOT collect clinical health data like heart rate, weight, or blood pressure.
- Diagnostic Data: To improve app stability, we collect minimized crash reports and technical error diagnostics (such as app and OS version, device model, error code, and stack trace). Health and activity content is not intentionally included. Diagnostics may contain limited technical identifiers needed to investigate incidents.
MoveIT only reads your "Apple Exercise Time" and workout sessions to calculate daily progress for internal company challenges. We do not write data to Apple Health.
HealthKit data is NEVER used for marketing, advertising, or sold to third parties. It is strictly used to provide the gamification functionality within the app.
2. How We Use Your Data
The collected data is used exclusively for:
- Operating the MoveIT application and maintaining internal leaderboards.
- Calculating individual challenge scores and granting gamification rewards (badges).
- Authorized administrators may use AI tools to create challenge text and badge images. Employee personal data and activity data are not provided to these tools.
- HR Protection: Data collected by MoveIT is NEVER used to evaluate employee performance or for any HR-related purposes.
3. Data Sharing & Security
We do not share, sell, or rent your personal or health data for marketing or advertising. We use Service Providers (Subprocessors) only to operate MoveIT, including cloud database and storage hosting, authentication and transactional email, app distribution and updates, push delivery, diagnostics, and hosting of the admin and public web services.
Core account, profile, activity, and uploaded avatar data are hosted in Frankfurt, Germany. Limited operational metadata may be processed in provider locations outside the European Union for services such as authentication and email delivery, app distribution, push delivery, and minimized technical diagnostics.
4. Your Rights & Data Deletion (GDPR)
You can view and update your profile in the MoveIT app, hide your identity in the leaderboard, and revoke Apple Health or Health Connect access in your device settings to stop future health-data collection.
You can permanently delete your MoveIT account and associated live application data from the Profile screen by tapping Delete Account. This action is irreversible. Provider backups and operational records follow their applicable retention periods.
You may also exercise your applicable GDPR rights, including access, correction, deletion, objection, restriction of processing, withdrawal of consent, and data portability, by contacting privacyteam@quadient.com.
5. Data Retention
An account is active for retention purposes when it has authenticated MoveIT use during the previous 12 months. After 12 consecutive months without authenticated use, the account becomes eligible for automatic deletion and is deleted within the following 48 hours under normal operation, together with its associated MoveIT application data. You may permanently delete your account earlier at any time using the in-app deletion feature.
MoveIT does not receive employee-departure notifications from HR, so leaving the company does not itself trigger deletion. The automatic rule is based on MoveIT inactivity. Provider operational data follows the applicable configured and contractual retention periods.
Terms of Use
1. Voluntary Participation
MoveIT is an entirely voluntary internal initiative. Using the app is not a condition of your employment at Quadient.
2. Fair Play
MoveIT relies on data synced from your personal devices. We expect sportsmanship and fair play. Please do not artificially manipulate your health data to cheat the leaderboards.
3. Disclaimer & No Liability
MoveIT is a gamification app, not a medical or professional fitness tool. Please exercise at your own risk and consult a doctor before starting any new physical activity. Quadient is not liable for any injuries, health issues, or damages resulting from your participation in MoveIT challenges. Don't push yourself beyond your limits just to get the first place!
